McHale – Komatsu

Komatsu is one of the largest manufacturers of construction and plant machinery in the world, with net sales of €14.9 billion and employing over 38,855 people. Their range of machines are renowned globally for leading the way in technology, innovation and reliability.

McHale Plant Sales are the sole distributor of Komatsu in Ireland. It is a leading supplier of excavators, bulldozers and large class wheel loaders to the industry today.

The company has depots in Birdhill, Co. Tipperary and Greenogue Industrial Estate, Newcastle, Co. Dublin.

Company Background

The late Michael McHale Snr. first established the McHale plant business in 1952, which specialised in the supply, hire and servicing of machinery. Following the long established connections within the construction equipment business the company was awarded the coveted Komatsu franchise for Ireland in 1994.

Now owner managed by Tim Shanahan, John O’Brien and Michael McHale (Jnr), the team’s ethos and stewardship has enabled the company to develop a strong position in the industry. The company focus of providing all our customers with the best products and support has enabled Komatsu to achieve a market leadership position.

Full Line Producer

Komatsu is a full line producer of construction equipment and its products are found in a diverse range of industries, including; civil engineering projects, quarrying, mining, house building, golf course construction, agriculture and landscaping.

 

McHale – Kleemann

Kleemann was first introduced to the Irish market in 1999 and McHale Plant Sales became the official distributor of Kleemann crushing and screening machines in January 2005. The company has established a leading share with Kleemann products in the large class mobile crushing market sector.

Kleemann produces a broad range of high-end mobile and stationary processing machinery for crushed stone, demolition waste and mixed construction waste. The renowned Kleemann brand is part of the Wirtgen group which has annual sales of US$1.1 billion.

Due to development of processing technology in recent years, the focus is increasingly switching to tracked mobile crushing and screening machines. Kleemann, identified as the bigger, stronger mobile machines undertake projects previously only handled by stationary plants.
